Conference Coaching Cohort

Why go it alone?

Going to a conference can be overwhelming. Yet with good preparation, it could be the most productive weekend of the season.

I am running a coaching cohort for people planning to attend a conference who would like some support with making the best use of the learning, collaborative, and networking opportunities that the conference can offer. It’s a combination of 1:1 coaching sessions with me, facilitated group sessions, and more!

So, what’s the offer?

  1. 🧑‍💻🧑‍💻 Two 1-hour coaching sessions before the conference*
  2. 🧑‍💻🧑‍💻 Two 1-hour coaching sessions after the conference*
  3. 👥 One 30-minute coaching session during the conference weekend in person.
  4. 🍽️ An invitation to a dinner on the Friday night (7pm, Feb 02) of the conference, plus one guest. (Pay for your own meal)
  5. 🗓️🗓️🗓️ Three group sessions via Zoom for cohort participants: two before the conference and one after the conference. We will use a Meeting Poll to find a time that works best for all participants.

*If the scheduling works out better for you to have 1 session before, and 3 sessions after the conference, that’s cool, too.

Other perks

  • Organizing logistical details such as transportation, accommodation and meals with other cohort mates may make these things easier.
  • Getting to know other participants outside of our group sessions is encouraged!

How much does it cost?

Have a look at my homepage for my pricing method. This cohort includes four and half hours of 1:1 coaching and plus three hours of group sessions (priced at 50%), totalling six hours.

Multiply this hourly rate by 6 and–et voilà!–that’s how much you’ll pay.

Payment is due in the interval between your acceptance (i.e., January 15th, 5pm PT) and your first session (i.e., the same or the following week).

You should join us if:

…you don’t like going into a room of hundreds without knowing anyone there. Our cohort is composed entirely of people planning to attend the same conference. Between the 3 group sessions and the in-person gathering we planned on the Saturday night, you’ll have your own conference squad.

…you want clarity on your asks and offers at the conference. Coaching is about sharpening focus about what one can do. Knowing exactly what you need and can offer can cut down on the pointless conversations that may otherwise happen. Having clear objectives may also avert the overwhelm that a large conference often induces.

…you have never attended one of these conferences before. Welcome! This could be especially helpful to people new to the community, or are first-timers at this conference.

…you have attended plenty of conferences before. You’ll probably agree that so much of a conference’s value has come from preparation and follow-up. And, let’s admit, it’s easy to get behind with prep, and drop off once the buzz wears off. Am I right? Our cohort will put this work at the front and center of your week.

…you are prepared to excel at what you do. Getting rich feedback, accountability, and encouragement from a coach can activate your potential. Collaborating with peers can take it a step further.

Still interested in getting coaching, but not going to a conference this winter?

I will have slots open up in February so feel free to use the application form below to express interest and book a discovery call.

I do hope to run another cohort like this for future conferences in the coming months.

Sounds like a good time? Here’s how to apply:

We are limiting this cohort to ten spots. I will be accepting applications only until January 15th, 9:00am Pacific Time. You will hear back by that evening at 5pm.

If this cohort fills up, applicants to this cohort will get first dibs when I open up slots afterwards.

Disclaimer, disclaimer

  1. This offering does not imply that I am affiliated with, represent, any organization except talk with elliot, a coaching business.
  2. If your participation in this cohort is contingent upon your admission and/or attendance to a particular conference, I will allow a refund for any unused sessions.
